Pregnancy is a beautiful journey, and staying active and strong is essential for both the mother's well-being and the baby's development. PIlates is one of the most highly-recommended forms of exercise during pregnancy and postpartum.

At potentia, all of our classes are prenatal friendly and our instructors are prenatal trained to offer you appropriate modifications where required to keep you moving safely and comFortably.

  • Pregnancy can put strain on the abdominal muscles as the baby grows. Prenatal Pilates focuses on strengthening the core muscles, including the abdominals, pelvic floor, and back muscles, which can help alleviate discomfort and support the spine as the belly expands.

  • As the body changes during pregnancy, maintaining good posture becomes increasingly important. Prenatal Pilates exercises focus on alignment and body awareness, helping to improve posture and reduce the risk of back pain and other musculoskeletal issues commonly associated with pregnancy.

    EARLY CANCEL ($0): IF YOU CANCEL YOUR BOOKING A MINIMUM OF 5 HOURS BEFORE THE SCHEDULED START TIME, YOU WON’T FORFEIT THE SESSION, OR PAY A FEE.

    LATE CANCEL ($5): LAST MINUTE CHANGE OF PLANS? IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN 5 HOURS OF THE CLASS START TIME, UNFORTUNATELY YOU WILL FORFEIT THE SESSION, AND BE CHARGED A CANCELLATION FEE OF $5.

    NO-SHOW ($10): IF YOU DON’T CANCEL YOUR CLASS PRIOR TO THE START TIME, AND DON’T ATTEND, YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR SESSION AND BE CHARGED A CANCELLATION FEE OF $10. BEING LATE IS ALSO CONSIDERED A NO-SHOW. NO-SHOWS ARE A NO-GO, AS WE LOVE TO MAKE ROOM FOR OTHERS WHEREVER POSSIBLE!

  • WHEN IT COMES TO ATTIRE FOR PILATES CLASSES, COMFORT AND FLEXIBILITY ARE KEY. OPT FOR FORM-FITTING, BREATHABLE CLOTHING THAT ALLOWS YOU TO MOVE FREELY WITHOUT RESTRICTION.

    GRIP SOCKS ARE REQUIRED FOR REFORMER CLASSES FOR SAFETY TO IMPROVE STABILITY AND SURFACE TRACTION, AS WELL AS FOR HYGIENE. There are socks for purchase at the studio.

  • ABSOLUTELY NOT! OVER TIME, PILATES BY NATURE WILL IMPROVE YOUR FLEXIBILTY AND RANGE OF MOTION, HOWEVER YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE FLEXIBLE TO PARTICIPATE. PILATES IS FOR ALL BODIES!
